HyDRA II Challenge

The HyDRA II challenge has started! This is the second edition of a challenge to establish the predictive power of computational spectroscopy on the example of organic molecule complexes with water. The quantity to predict is the hydrogen-bonded OH bond stretching fundamental of water relative to the free water value of 3657 cm-1 (experimental symmetric stretch). The submission forms will become available in January 2026. Training systems can be found in the Databases section. The HyDRA database contains 70 curated entries, including 56 monohydrates and 12 dihydrates.
